Exports of Greek kiwifruit to the Brazilian market begin, following the relevant decision of the country's federal government. The decision is a positive development for our product to be able to be exported to a country of 214 million people, which is the largest in area and population in Latin America and the seventh most populous on the planet. We remind you that Greece ranks fourth in the world production of kiwifruit (together with Iran), while China remains the first producing country, followed by New Zealand and then Italy. From September 1, 2022 to April 28, 2023, our country's kiwifruit exports reached 196,750 tons, compared to 186,692 tons in the corresponding period last year.
