Russia: Gross harvest of rice in the Kuban decreased by almost 12%

The gross harvest of rice in the Krasnodar Territory in 2021, according to preliminary results, amounted to 746 thousand tons. This figure is 11.9% less than last year. Such data are provided by the press service of Krasnodarstat. According to statistical observation, in total, 14.79 million tons of cereals and legumes were harvested, which is 22% more than last year. In particular, the gross harvest of wheat in the region increased by 29.1% - up to 10 million tons. The harvest of barley increased by 19% to 1.2 million tons, corn by 9.2% to 2.3 million tons. The gross harvest of beets amounted to 9.6 million tons, which is 64.7% more than last year. The sunflower harvest rose to 1 million tons (+ 16.3%), potatoes to 380 thousand tons (+ 8%).
