President Tsai Ing-wen of Taiwan has visited the Kaohsiung Yongan District Fisheries Association Processing Plant in response to China's ban on Taiwan grouper imports due to banned drugs. The government is taking measures to assist farmers and fishermen, including opening up multiple markets, investing in cold chain equipment, and improving processing technology. The government has also approved a two-year 12.6 billion cold chain plan for agriculture, fishery and livestock, and will provide immediate assistance to farmers and fishermen. The President called on Taiwanese people to support domestic grouper to sustainably build Taiwan's brand in the international community.
