A workshop on circular organic rice production with traceability was held at Phu Tho Agricultural Service Cooperative in Dong Thap Province, Vietnam. The model, supported by the provincial Agriculture sector, involves eight households cultivating Dai Thom 8 rice variety over 10 hectares. The model incorporates techniques such as flowering rice fields, duck rearing, mulberry flower rearing, and the use of tracking software and Trichoderma LHC fungus. The model has received high praise for its economic, environmental, and social efficiency, with rice yield estimated at over 6 tons/ha and potential income from mushroom cultivation. The model has also led to significant cost savings in chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
