The GlobalGAP Bu Dop Green-skinned Grapefruit Cooperative, with 11 members and a cultivation area of over 50 hectares, has been producing green-skinned grapefruit since 2016, focusing on sustainable and organic farming practices. The cooperative has been certified under GlobalGAP standards for the past five years and employs integrated pest and plant health management practices, avoiding the use of herbicides and relying on organic fertilizers and biological pest control solutions. The cooperative also keeps bees for pollination, which is an environmentally friendly practice. The district of Bu Dop has expanded its green-skinned grapefruit cultivation area to 300 hectares, with a yield of 15-30 tons/ha, and has received recognition for its sustainable and organic farming methods, including the use of automatic irrigation systems and the promotion of environmental sustainability.
