Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association President Hoang Thi Lien said that in the first seven months of 2025, Vietnam exported over 145,000 tons of various types of pepper, with an export value of 988 million USD. Compared to the same period in 2024, the export volume decreased by 11.7%, but the export value increased by 29.3%, due to the average export price rising year-on-year, with black pepper prices reaching 6,713 USD per ton and white pepper prices reaching 8,756 USD per ton, up 47% and 41.2% respectively. This is the highest price in years, clearly reflecting the recovery trend of the global pepper market and the improvement of the quality and added value of the domestic industry chain.
