Gyeongbuk Agricultural Technology and Extension Services and the Agro-Industrial Complex jointly develop a standard model for plant factory-type smart farms through a memorandum of cooperation.

[Korean Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper Reporter Jo Sung-je] Gyeongsangbuk-do Agricultural Technology Institute signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gyeongbuk Chapter of the Korea Agro-Industrial Complex Association last November 11 for the "Establishment of AI-based Plant Factory Type Smart Farm and Transition of Agro-Industrial Complex to Future Industries." The Gyeongsangbuk-do Agricultural Technology Institute stated that the purpose of this memorandum of understanding is to establish a model for the transition of traditional manufacturing industries within the agro-industrial complex to an agriculture-manufacturing hybrid industry transition model by introducing advanced AI-based plant factory type smart farm technology and to realize the transition to future industries. Through this memorandum of understanding, the Gyeongsangbuk-do Agricultural Technology Institute and the Gyeongbuk Chapter of the Korea Agro-Industrial Complex Association will △jointly develop a verification and standardization model for plant factory type smart farm technology △regional.
