Goryeng County in Gyeongbuk (County Chief Lee Nam-cheol) has secured a total project cost of 32 billion won to establish a new "Daeso Garlic Superior Strain Propagation and Distribution Center" in response to the rapid abnormal climate and to prioritize the production of high-quality agricultural products. The county is simultaneously securing the budget and completing preliminary procedures such as site purchase and various permits to expedite the project, making every effort to complete the project by the end of the year to advance the distribution to farms. Scheduled for completion in December 2026, the "Daeso Garlic Superior Strain Propagation and Distribution Center" will be located in Nae-ok-ri, Daegaya-eup (within the Agricultural Technology Center) and will cover an area of approximately 200 pyeong, including a tissue culture laboratory.
