Gyeonggi Province in South Korea has reported a 13% increase in its agricultural and food exports in the first three quarters of 2021, reaching $1.126.92 billion, the highest since 2008. This growth was despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The rise was primarily due to increased exports of processed foods, ginseng, and forest products. Notably, tomatoes and pork saw significant increase, while rice, pears, and chicken experienced a decrease. The main export markets were China, the United States, and Japan, with Vietnam, Taiwan, and Singapore also showing an increase in imports.
