"A new era, a new agriculture, we can do it! Go new farmers!" On October 31, the Central Association of New Farmers in Korea held a "60th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony of the Central Association of New Farmers in Korea" at the Nonghyup Startup Farmland Support Center in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, where over 5,000 new farmer members gathered to comfort each other for their efforts over the past 60 years in advancing agriculture and rural development, and to pledge for prosperity in the next 60 years. The Central Association of New Farmers is an organization composed of farmers who have won the "New Farmer Award" given by the Central Association of Agricultural Cooperatives every month. To rebuild the rural society devastated by the Korean War and to promote the welfare of farmers, the association was established in 1965 with the ideal of "self-reliance, science, and cooperation" and has contributed to improving the social and economic status of farmers for 60 years.
