[Reporter Lee Jang-hee, Korea Farmers' News] According to a test on the safety of residual pesticides in summer agricultural products conducted by the Gyeonggi-do Institute of Health and Environment, 2 out of 127 cases exceeded the standard. The Gyeonggi-do Institute of Health and Environment conducted a safety test on the residual pesticides of 30 items, including lettuce, perilla leaves, mustard greens, and peppers, which were circulated in the province from June 16 to July 20. Items with a history of non-compliance in the past three years were selected as priority management targets. After analyzing 475 types of residual pesticides in 127 samples, 125 cases (98.4%) were deemed "compliant" within the standard. However, pesticide components exceeding the allowable limit were detected in one case each of Etrog cabbage and kale.
