Haenam County (Mayor Myeong Myeong-gwan) is operating a self-operated bean sorting farm workplace to reduce the labor burden on farmers during the bean harvest season, and it is receiving great support from farmers. The self-operated bean sorting farm workplace sorts beans such as Meju beans and Surit-tae beans by size and filters out impurities in four stages to ensure clean and precise sorting. A total of five units are installed and operated at the main office and the northern branch of the Haenam County Agricultural Machinery Rental Office. Farmers can use it by making a reservation in advance, and the rental fee for bean sorting work is 2,000 won per 40 kg. To increase the efficiency of bean sorting, one ton bag is also installed and operated. Last year, 85,600 kg of beans were sorted by 166 farms.
