Sales of sliced ham packets compared to whole pieces continue to gain popularity to adapt to new consumption demands, despite being a more expensive format, according to industry sources. A 100-gram packet of top-category sliced ham (100% Iberian acorn-fed) reaches an average price between 15 and 26 euros depending on the number of packets purchased or whether it is machine-cut or hand-cut; in any case, these options are between 4-5% cheaper than a year ago, according to prices analyzed by Efeagro.
