Hamside shortage decreased, price rose to 200 TL

At the beginning of the season, anchovies, which were abundant on the counters and had dropped to 50 TL, becoming a favorite of the citizens, have risen again to the 200 TL level due to the cooling weather and the decrease in the amount of catch. Anchovies, which are caught intensively in the Black Sea when the season opens, had filled the tables of consumers as the cheapest fish for a while. However, the recent decrease in the amount of catch has been reflected harshly on the prices. Fish seller Erdoğan Köseoğlu explained the price change in anchovies with these words: "At the beginning of the season, when the anchovies came out, they were around 250-300 TL. Then, we entered the period of abundance; the price ranged between 75-100 TL, and in the evening, it dropped to as low as 50 TL.
