Hanoi has developed over 20 livestock product chains, providing nearly 3,000 households and over 1,000 businesses with a stable market for products like pork, beef, poultry meat, eggs, and milk. These chains ensure environmental hygiene and food safety through a closed production cycle. Despite challenges such as urbanization, the city plans to develop a livestock strategy for 2022-2030 and has a roadmap for improving livestock production. The strategy includes establishing large-scale disease-free farms, building a linked production process, promoting deep processing of animal products, and improving livestock breed productivity and quality. Small farmers are encouraged to align with the chain and work with businesses for shared benefits and responsponsibilities.
