This season, a harvest of 13,800 tons of kiwi was made in the Çarşamba Plain of Samsun.
The kiwi harvest in the Çarşamba Plain this season was quite bountiful. A total of 13,800 tons of kiwi was obtained from production on 5,500 decares of land in the plain. The farmers who completed the harvest noted that this year's crop brought smiles, emphasizing that the demand in the market is also high.
The agricultural team of the Çarşamba County Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the President of the Çarşamba Chamber of Agriculture, Muammer Aydemir, emphasized that the kiwi production areas are expanding every year and that the yield can be increased further with correct care practices.
Kiwi prices showed a 100 percent increase compared to last year's prices, varying between 70-90 TL in the 2025 kiwi harvest season. It is expected that the bountiful season in the Çarşamba Plain will provide significant economic contribution to the producer.
