Harvest time in Malatya for the medicinal treasure hawthorn

The harvest of grafted wild hawthorns has begun in Akçadağ district of Malatya. This year, producers who did not find what they hoped for in apricots due to agricultural frost are turning to different products in an attempt to save the season. In the Büyükköy neighborhood of Akçadağ district, the harvest period has started for hawthorns that grow naturally and are known to have many health benefits. Local producers consume part of the produce from the grafted wild hawthorns themselves, while selling the rest in markets at 250 TL per kilogram.
