Heavy rains hamper operations in the field

The climatic instability in Southern Brazil has imposed additional difficulties on the planning and execution of agricultural activities, especially in areas of grains and industrial crops. According to Jackson Geraldi, regional sales coordinator, the high volume of rainfall and the irregularity of the weather are already directly affecting the progress of the 25/26 harvest in Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul. According to the assessment presented, the excess moisture has turned areas of soybeans, corn, rice, and sugarcane into soils with low bearing capacity, which limits the access of machinery to the field. This scenario results in the loss of harvesting and spraying windows, as well as frequent equipment stoppages and recurrent cases of getting stuck.
