Itaú BBA released a new update on its outlook for agribusiness in the 2025/26 cycle. The report points out that, although the weather has favored the development of major crops, including soybeans, the sector will still face challenges related to production costs, international volatility, and the growing need for risk management. According to Cesar de Castro Alves, manager of Itaú BBA's Agricultural Consulting, the global environment continues to be a determining factor for the performance of Brazilian agribusiness. "Although climatic conditions point to a positive development in most of Brazil's agricultural regions, factors such as production costs, exchange rates, and the behavior of international markets require the producer to adopt even more careful financial and operational management," he says.
