The Ukrainian berry market is experiencing a real price revolution. The cost of raspberries last year in mid-July was at the level of 110 UAH/kg, this year it is from 200 to 300 UAH/kg. Raspberry price dynamics as of July 20: Market "Pochatok" (Odesa): retail 250 UAH/kg, wholesale 100-190 UAH/kg; Market "Stolychnyi" (Kyiv): retail 150-170 UAH/kg; Market "Shuvar" (Lviv): retail 200 UAH/kg. Significant differences in wholesale and retail prices for raspberries are explained by different sales channels. Raspberries for processing are significantly cheaper than for the fresh market. "For the fresh market, raspberries have special requirements — they are packaged in pinetki, not boxes.
