According to Boryeong City on the 18th, at a laying hen farm in Jinjuk-ri, Cheongso-m, which raises 25,000 birds, 1,000 birds died on the 16th and 5,000 birds died on the 17th, prompting the farm owner to report to the Disease Control Headquarters. After the Chungnam Animal Hygiene Testing Institute collected and analyzed samples, H5 type antigen was confirmed at 10 PM on the 17th, and the National Veterinary Research and Quarantine Service is in the process of confirming whether it is the N type. Boryeong City is taking emergency quarantine measures at the farm in question and plans to euthanize all the chickens being raised. A thorough inspection will also be conducted on 35 farms within a 10 km radius of the farm to check for additional spread, as these farms raise a total of 1.17 million poultry.
