Iran is a major player in the global honey industry, producing 1.415 kilograms of honey per capita and consuming 1.397 kilograms per capita. With 155,000 people working in 94,932 apiaries, Iran ranks as the third-largest honey producer worldwide. The country's Seventh National Development Plan aims to boost honey production by three to four kilograms per colony. Additionally, Iran annually produces 8,300 kilograms of royal jelly, 406 tons of pollen, 2,536 tons of beeswax, 247 tons of propolis, and 3,917 grams of bee venom.
