[Agricultural, Fisheries, and Livestock Newspaper=Reporter Kim Jeong-hee] Hongseong County (County Head Lee Yong-nok) announced that from the 22nd to the 25th, six individuals including farmers and officials from Obuse, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, visited Hongseong, the nation's first organic agriculture special zone, to tour the low-carbon organic farming system. This visit was a follow-up to County Head Lee Yong-nok's trip to Japan last September, and it was made possible by a special directive from Obuse Mayor Okamura Hideto, who is very interested in organic farming. This marks another instance of reverse export, as Japan, which has been considered the birthplace of organic farming, is now benchmarking Hongseong County's low-carbon organic farming system. The visiting group toured eco-friendly agriculture in the areas of Mudang-ri, Hongdong-myeon, and Onui-gweon in Janggok-myeon.
