Hongseong garlic, a specialty crop from Hongseong-gun in South Chungcheong Province, is now being exported to Malaysia and Hong Kong, following previous exports to the United States and Singapore. The pilot export to Malaysia included 170 kg of unpeeled blood garlic, while peeled garlic will be exported to Hong Kong on the 23rd. The Hongseong Agricultural Technology Center plans to increase exports based on market response and promote the unique qualities of Hongseong garlic overseas.
