The head of the Iranian Fisheries Organization expressed that there is a significant opportunity for investors in the aquaculture field in Hormozgan province, as there are more than 50 thousand hectares of land suitable for shrimp cultivation in the region. He emphasized that increasing aquaculture production leads to higher exports and foreign currency earnings for the country, citing last year's export of over 38 thousand tons of shrimp worth 180 million dollars. The Director General of Hormozgan Fisheries also mentioned the province's capacities in shrimp breeding, fish farming in cages, and various fisheries transformation industries, urging investors to support the development of the fishery industry for increased foreign exchange and food security.
