Cairo- Masrawy: Some activists on social media circulated posts about selling Egyptian rice in Saudi Arabia at a price lower than its level in Egypt. These activists used a picture from one of the offers of the Saudi Carrefour page on “Facebook” several days ago, which includes 5 kilograms of pyramid rice at a price of 12.95 riyals, which is equivalent to about 21.4 pounds per kilo, while loose and packaged rice is sold in Egypt at prices higher than these levels. However, with Masrawy's return to the Saudi Carrefour page, it became clear that this price was included in a one-day offer on March 11, and that this price instead of before the discount was 19.95 riyals, meaning that the price per kilo outside the offer on other days reaches the equivalent of 32.90 pounds in Egyptian.
