The Statistics Center of Iran has released a report indicating price increases in June for several food items in urban areas. The highest price increases were observed in certain food groups and specific items within those groups. Notably, 'dry sweets', 'noodle soup', and 'dry milk' saw the highest increases in the bread and cereals, dairy products, and eggs and oils groups, respectively. Amongst red meats, machine chicken and canned tuna experienced the most significant price hikes. In the fruits and nuts group, the price of melon and watermelon rose significantly, while the price of peaches and oranges decreased. Finally, the group of vegetables, legumes, sugar, beverages, and other foodstuffs saw substantial price increases in items such as potatoes, tomatoes, eggplants, onions, carbonated beverages, and sugar.
