Huancavelica: Joint work strengthens avocado production in Andaymarca

The National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida) and the District Municipality of Andaymarca (Huancavelica) are advancing with the execution of the project "Improvement of the support service for the productive development of avocado with productive diversification," which covers five localities in the district and is in its second year of development. The project aims to produce 210,000 seedlings during its three years of execution, benefiting 501 families dedicated to this crop across 501 hectares. In this way, it promotes agricultural diversification, capacity building, and the consolidation of avocado as a sustainable and profitable crop in the area. During the latest technical visit, Devida specialists supervised nurseries and plots, verified the grafting processes of seedlings, and evaluated the progress of the crops, in coordination with the municipal team.
