Farmers in Vietnam's Luu Son commune face challenges as zucchini crops, previously expected to bring a profitable yield, end up unsold due to drastically dropped prices. The initial price of 12,000 VND per kilogram has been slashed in half, leaving farmers like Mr. Phung Van Dung, who invested over 400 million VND, with a surplus of about 200 tons of unsold zucchini. The oversupply is attributed to COVID-19's impact, reducing demand from restaurants and industrial kitchens. Authorities are urging traders to purchase the surplus to support the farmers.
