The latest information from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment shows that in October, Vietnam exported approximately 19,800 tons of pepper, bringing in 131.8 million USD. Cumulatively for the first 10 months of 2025, the volume of exported pepper reached 206,300 tons, with an estimated value of around 1.4 billion USD. Compared to the same period last year, the volume of exported pepper decreased by 5.9% but the value increased by 25.8%.
The average export price of pepper in the first 10 months of the year is estimated to be over 6,774 USD/ton, up 33.7% from the same period in 2024. Thanks to the high price and the deep processing efforts of businesses, the export value of the "black gold" item still maintains a strong growth rate despite the reduced volume sold.
It is noteworthy that, although there are still two months left to end the year 2025, the export of pepper has reached 1.4 billion USD, almost equal to the export turnover of the entire year 2016 (nearly 1.43 billion USD) - the highest in the history of the pepper industry.
Also according to the Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment, the US, Germany, and India are Vietnam's three largest pepper markets, accounting for market shares of 24.7%, 7.9%, and 5.6%, respectively.
