Hungary needs more red onions

The EU onion market is showing improvement after the deficit period of the 2022 season. However, Hungary still needs imports, which are mainly provided by the Netherlands, but onions also come to us from abroad. This year, fewer onions arrived from Slovakia, Austria and Germany, but the EU's largest exporter, the Netherlands, delivered the largest amount to Hungary again this year, 34% more than in 2022.
