Ibrafe: Exports prevent losses for bean producers

Brazil is achieving a historic feat. This is the result of the increasingly organized pulses sector. Up until September, the country exported 217 thousand tons and, by all indications, a new record is coming. All the beans exported were affordable for the consumer most of the time or are still cultivars that are not widely consumed in Brazil. The largest volume went to India, with 102 thousand tons of beans. Composed of 70 thousand tons of white cowpea from Mato Grosso and Pingo de Ouro from Bahia, and also 39 thousand tons of green and black mung beans.
