ICAR revised the grain harvest forecast

The Institute of Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR) has raised its forecast for the wheat harvest by 0.5 million tons, to 88 million tons (excluding new regions), writes "Interfax." The adjustment is due to record yields in the Urals and Siberia. "There were concerns about losses, but it seems they are possible, but will not be significant, as harvesting is already coming to an end," noted IKAR CEO Dmitry Rylko. "At the same time, a number of factors that could affect the final results remain. Moreover, it is still unknown what the refactoring might be." The forecast for the gross corn harvest has also been increased by 0.3 million tons, to 15.3 million tons, while the barley harvest estimate remains unchanged at 19 million tons. Overall, the grain harvest forecast has been increased by 0.8 million tons, to 137.3 million tons.
