The International Grains Council (IGC) has updated its forecast for the 2024/25 global grain production, indicating a decrease in the global corn production estimate by 7 million metric tons to 1.226 billion tons, with a notable reduction in the U.S. corn harvest forecast. However, China's corn production forecast saw an increase. The global wheat production estimate also saw a slight decrease. Despite these adjustments, the IGC projects a record total grain production of 2.32 billion tonnes for the season, with the global soybean production forecast remaining steady, indicating an increase from the previous year's production.
