IIAP delivered 51 thousand paco fry to producers in Irazola and Neshuya in Ucayali

The Institute of Research of the Peruvian Amazon (IIAP) delivered 51 thousand fry of paco (Piaractus brachypomus) to 25 native communities in the districts of Irazola and Neshuya, in Ucayali. It also trained aquaculture producers with the aim of promoting the sustainable development of Amazonian fish farming. On November 7, the IIAP distributed 30 thousand fry in Irazola. The delivery benefited 30 fish farmers from 18 communities, each with 1 thousand fish. The director of IIAP Ucayali, Engineer Jorge Revilla Chávez, highlighted that fish farming represents a solid productive alternative for the region. On November 12, the institute delivered 21 thousand fry in Neshuya.
