The cold weather did not spare the blooming rapeseed in Southeastern Bulgaria and farmers expect huge losses from the April frosts. This became clear from the words of Iliya Prodanov, chairman of the National Association of Grain Producers. "The rather warm weather lured the rapeseed in early April and all the rapeseed fields have bloomed. The other big problem is that in our region on Tuesday morning the temperature dropped to minus 8 degrees in some villages, which is terribly low for this phase of the crops.
