Import of repack to the EU decreased by 39% in river volumes starting from MY 2025/26

According to EU data, EU rapeseed imports have declined by 39% year-on-year since 2025/26, with Australia and Ukraine accounting for a smaller share, but Canada’s share increasing. As of February 1, 2026, Ukraine was the largest rapeseed supplier to the European Union with 1.168 million tonnes, a 46.8% decrease from the previous year, and its share declining from 56.2% to 49.1%. Australia is the second-largest supplier, with 438,000 tonnes shipped, a 60.5% decrease from the previous year; its share decreased from 28.4% to 18.4%. Canada is the third-largest supplier, with 271,000 tonnes shipped, a 23.2% decrease from the previous year, but its share increasing from 9.0% to 11.4%. From 2025/26 to the present, the EU imported 2.38 million tonnes of rapeseed, a 39% decrease compared to the previous year.
