Importers were allowed to import more than 5.7 thousand tons of duty-free chicken into the Russian Federation

Importers received permits to import 5,714 thousand tons of duty-free chicken into Russia. The Ministry of Agriculture approved the supply of chicken meat within the duty-free quota with codes 0207 14 100 9 and 0207 14 500 9 under the EAEU Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activity. This year, the quota for the import of this meat into the Russian Federation without duties was 140 thousand tons. Thus, the balance of the tariff quota amounted to 134 thousand 286 tons. Also, the current volume of applications for duty-free import of chicken is 27.51 tons. Imported meat is intended for food production.
