In January 2021, Ukraine's dairy foreign trade balance showed a deficit of $ 6.68 million, according to the Association of Milk Producers. Despite a slight decrease in imports by 1.6% compared to the previous year, the country experienced significant increases in imports of condensed milk and cream by 105%, and sour-milk products by over 30%. Cheese imports also rose by 8.4%. However, imports of oils, whey, casein, and ice cream saw decreases. Export activity was relatively positive, with a slight decrease of 5.1% in dairy product exports compared to the previous year, despite a minor 0.3% decrease in revenue.
