This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), through its Monthly Trade Report - July 2025, where it notes that, in the first seven months of the current year, Peru imported 10.5% less fertilizer by volume. It detailed that, between January and July of 2025, the main fertilizers imported by our country were: urea, which accounted for 17.72% of the total value, diammonium phosphate with 19.84%, ammonium nitrate with 5.82%, mineral fertilizers with 11.38%, and potassium sulfate with 8.73%. These five products concentrated 63.5% of the total.
