Russia has seen a 14.4% increase in tangerine imports since the start of 2024, reaching 738.3 thousand tons as of December 5, according to Rosselkhoznadzor. The main suppliers have been Turkey, Egypt, and China. There has also been significant import from Abkhazia. Other citrus fruits and nuts have also been imported. The Federal Customs Service anticipates a tangerine import volume no lower than the previous year, which was about 25 thousand tons. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region advises consumers to look for certain color and texture characteristics when selecting tangerines.
