From January to October 2024, Ukraine experienced a significant increase in whey exports, with a 26% rise to 16.5 thousand tons compared to the same period in the previous year, valued at $11.4 million, which is 31% more than the monetary value for the same period in 2023. The main importers of Ukrainian whey were Poland, China, and the Philippines, accounting for 25%, 21.4%, and 10.5% of the exports, respectively. Additionally, Ukraine's imports of milk whey decreased by 18% to 5 thousand tons, leading to a 20% reduction in expenditure compared to the previous year. Poland, Sweden, and Germany were the primary suppliers of whey to Ukraine during this period. Furthermore, Ukraine saw an 11.9% increase in earnings from butter exports during the first ten months.
