In 2022, Ukrainian agricultural exports saw a significant increase, with a 54% rise in seeds and oilseeds exports reaching nearly $3.8 billion, driven by higher deliveries of rapeseed, soybeans, and sunflower. The main markets were Asia and Europe, with the European Union purchasing over three-quarters of the oilseed supplies. There was a shift in the top buyers, with Romania, Turkey, and Poland becoming the leading importers of Ukrainian oilseeds, while Germany's share decreased. Despite a decrease, sunflower oil remained a key export, with Poland becoming the top buyer, surpassing India. Together, Poland, Turkey, Romania, and other countries contributed over 75% of the value of Ukrainian oil exports.
