According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in 2023 (in June-July, i.e. in the main sales season), more than 2.4 thousand tons of garden strawberries were exported from Moldova, which is approximately 70% more than the level for that year. the same period last year (about 1.5 thousand tons). At the same time, in the structure of external supplies of Moldovan strawberries, the share of the Russian market has increased again - to 80%, compared to 60-70% in the previous two seasons, EastFruit reports. Exports of fresh raspberries from the 2023 harvest amounted to about 722 tons - 14% higher than last year’s level. At the same time, foreign supplies of frozen strawberries compared to last year’s data decreased by 278%, to 237 tons (some of the goods are leftovers from 2022).
