Russia: In 2023, the Novosibirsk region exported grain to 12 countries

In 2023, the volume of grain exports from the Novosibirsk region increased 1.5 times and amounted to 1 million 192 thousand tons. According to the Office of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Novosibirsk and Tomsk regions, inspectors of the phytosanitary supervision department controlled and processed more than 28 thousand consignments of grain crops for shipment outside the region. The department clarified that in 2023 the range of exported agricultural crops included shipments of wheat (527.8 thousand tons, 44%), barley (218.6 thousand tons, 18%), peas (149.5 thousand tons, 12.5% ), rapeseed (104.5 thousand tons, 9%), flax (100.5 thousand tons, 8.5%). In addition, the region exported buckwheat, oats, sunflowers, soybeans, rye, lentils and mustard.
