In 2023, Ukraine increased the export of hybrid seeds of grain and oilseed crops of national and foreign selection by $119.5 million, which is 1.5 times more than in the previous year, according to the report of the Institute of Agrarian Economics of the NSC. Oleksandr Zakharchuk, head of the department of investment and material and technical support of the National Center of IAE, noted that in the structure of Ukrainian exports of grain and oilseeds, corn dominates with a share of 97.4%. He also emphasized that in 2023, the export of hybrid corn seeds in Ukraine exceeded the volume of its import for the second year in a row.
