In the first quarter of 2024, Bashkortostan's agro-industrial complex saw a significant increase in seed exports, with a total of 2.08 thousand tons sent to the EU and the Customs Union, a nearly threefold increase from the previous year's exports of 755.9 tons. The seeds, including vetch, oats, wheat, sainfoin, barley, and safflower, were exported to countries such as Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, and the Netherlands, and were inspected by the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for Bashkortostan and the Bashkir testing laboratory of ARRIAH to ensure compliance with the quarantine phytosanitary requirements of the importing countries, with no quarantine organisms found in the samples.
