Global sunflower exports are projected to hit a nine-year low of 2.36 million tons in the 2024/25 marketing year, down from 2.69 million tons the previous season, primarily due to reduced oil production. Significant export declines are expected from the EU, Moldova, and Ukraine, while Kazakhstan is set to increase its exports. This low production is also anticipated to affect processing plants in the EU and Turkey, with EU sunflower seed processing forecasted to drop to 8.8 million tons.
