Mato Grosso, Brazil's largest beef producer and exporter, is poised for positive growth in 2025 due to high product quality, significant investments in technology, and the opening of new international markets, particularly Japan and South Korea. These markets' demand for quality and high added value aligns with Mato Grosso's production standards. The state is also looking forward to the benefits of the Mercosur-European Union agreement, which is expected to gradually reduce tariffs on beef exports to Europe. Additionally, the state plans to increase livestock farming in degraded pastures, increasing meat supply without deforestation. In 2024, Mato Grosso exported 630 thousand tons of beef, generating over 2 billion dollars, with China being the largest buyer.
