In 9 months, Ukraine increased shellfish exports by 31.1%

In January-September 2024, Ukraine exported 902 tons of shellfish, which is 31.1% more than in the same period last year. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service. In monetary terms, exports increased by 22% to $5 million. The main buyers of domestic shellfish during the three quarters of 2024 were Lithuania (53.7%), Spain (23.1%) and Romania (13%). The import of molluscs for the nine months of 2024 reached 4.2 thousand tons, which is 20% higher than last year's figure for the same period.
